Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW)

Hey guys, so I am keeping today’ s post short and simple.

This week is Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW). Mental Health is something I am very passionate about and not many people know this about me. I’ve been wanting to write and talk about this for so long  but I never had the chance to.

Two weeks ago an opportunity arose and I decided to write and share a story about a girl that suffered a particular mental illness. This story however, is not going to be featured on my blog but on Chioma Ibeh’s blog. Chioma is a dear old friend of mine and we go all the way back to our first year in high school. I am really glad I waited until now to share such a moving story because everything feels right about it.

So I shall keep you here no longer! Please click here to visit my friend’s blog to read the short story I wrote of a young Nigerian muslim girl that battled depression for many years. I hope you enjoy and learn from it.

Have a blessed week x
