Parenthood is one of the greatest responsibilities Allah entrusts us with. Yet, for many of us, it often feels overwhelming:

The late-night duas whispered for our children’s safety and guidance.

The nagging doubts in our hearts; am I doing enough? am I doing it right?

The longing to raise children who are not only successful in dunya, but also firm in their deen.

If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone.

The Tarbiyah Journal was created for parents like you…mothers and fathers striving to nurture their children with love, character, and faith. As a young mother of three, I know the mixture of joy and fear that comes with raising the next generation. I also know how easy it is to get lost in daily chaos and lose sight of the bigger picture.

This is why I designed the Tarbiyah Journal: a labour of love rooted in Islamic values, to support you on this sacred journey. Because the truth is, raising children or even learning how to be better human beings ourselves should never be locked behind a price tag.

I often think about the mother awake at 2 a.m.searching for answers she wishes her own mother were alive to give her. Or the father quietly carrying the weight of responsibility, with no mentor to guide him. And the parents who yearn for tools rooted in faith, but simply cannot afford them.

The Tarbiyah Journal is my response to these identified gaps and struggles. A sadaqah project created fī sabīlillāh, so that every parent no matter their story, their background, or their means can find guidance, reflection, and support as they nurture the next generation

Why the Tarbiyah Journal?

At Barakah and Beyond, I chose to launch the Tarbiyah Journal as our very first product because I believe the family is the bedrock of every society. The way we nurture our children, the future leaders of tomorrow will shape not just their lives, but the world they inherit.

We first experience this world through birth, and our nurturing is everything; it shapes the kind of believers and individuals we will become but the truth is, there is no single blueprint for parenting. Many of us unconsciously replicate the way we were raised, carrying forward habits and lessons both good and bad and while today’s generation of parents is making intentional efforts to break cycles and avoid repeating generational traumas, it’s not always easy to know where to begin.

That’s where the Tarbiyah Journal comes in. It helps you unearth your “why,” reflect deeply on the kind of parent you want to be, and walk step by step through practical tools that guide you in nurturing your children with ihsan. Some of the frameworks shared are evidence-based and backed by research, while others are rooted in timeless Islamic wisdom making it a unique, holistic parenting resource every parent will benefit from In Sha Allah.

The Tarbiyah Journal isn’t only for new parents figuring things out, nor is it only for experienced parents seeking to return to the drawing board to unlearn and relearn. It is for:

Parents who want to raise children with ihsan and intentionality.

Couples preparing for future parenthood.

Families seeking tools to strengthen bonds, set goals, and create a nurturing home.

It’s a universal and timeless resource for anyone who values Islamic parenting, intentional tarbiyah, and holistic growth as a parent.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey as a parent or seeking new ways to connect with your children, this journal will help you align your intentions, strengthen your relationships, and bring Barakah into your parenting.

A Jounal, A Legacy

The Tarbiyah Journal is more than just a digital guide; it is an invitation to pause, reflect, and rewrite the parenting story you want to pass on. For many of us, parenting means choosing which cycles to continue and which ones to break. It means unlearning what no longer serves us, relearning with wisdom, and laying a new foundation for the next generation.

This journal helps you do that work with intention. It is:
beacon of light when parenting feels uncertain.
roadmap for unlearning, relearning, and aligning your goals with Islamic values.
sanctuary of reflection amidst the busyness of daily life.

Think of it as a legacy project not just for you, but for your children. Each page becomes a record of your reflections, duas, and commitments as a parent. And one day, it may be a gift your children look back on, learning not only from your words but from your courage to nurture differently, with faith and love at the center.

With every page, you are reminded that you are not walking this path alone. You are part of a community of parents striving with intention, hope, and faith.
